Ripple has its own purpose and it differs from bitcoin. What we observe on ripple there are also many user because of a cheap transactions which I'm also one of the user. Xrp is a centralized and cannot compete with bitcoin let's just support and observe this project though some people always comparing xrp with bitcoin.
