That is actually what I ever experienced, losing more, and gaining less in gambling. That is why I quit gambling. Because until now, I am still confused about how to be in the gambling well. I tried to learn about the strategy of betting and the game that I participated in. But I fact, I still lost more. I feel so dumb 
Gambling is used as a place for fun and if you put all the money you have in the hope that you can get a lot of profit then it won't be possible because no one guarantees a win at every gamble you bet on so maybe you should be able to change your mindset. when gambling and use money that is not being used because the risk is that money at gambling can be lost instantly when you lose. As a usual result in playing or even betting in gambling you may encounter much more losing than winning. For some people gambling was used to be an entertainment for them, a fun time, past time but gambling were used to known as a money involved fun time. Of course to be able to play with it you should place your bet amount and even you are not the one who played and supposed to be the one who are watching the game should need to place your bet.
