I made this tool which may help you to have a better understand of how and when your transaction will be confirmed. Just insert your transaction ID there and it will plot it in the mempool, showing all transactions that have priority over yours.
Well, that's a very nice and helpful tool and site in general, I will use it for sure. Btw, maybe you can add and a fee estimator for different wallets or a general one? I think it will be a good addition...

A fee estimator is useful, but I didn't find a nice one.
I don't like any of the ones I know, because all of them overestimate fees. I will certainly take a look if I can find a good alternative
