To me it is still an open question, with what multiplier you will be presented in the leader board if you buy a bonus feature? It would be logical to assume that the bet was $10, if the feature was bought, but, on the other hand, as @cmonman said, technically his bet was indeed just 10 cents.
Depends on how the host processed it. Normally if you buy a feature, your wagered amount is the price of the bonus feature and most casino count it that way. I don't know about Chips if they process it that way too since I have not bought any feature in slot hosted by Chips, I just do the normal spins.
According to Bex, the multiplier would be in accordance to the price of the bonus feature that you purchased. If you win $10 with $10 bonus buy, that means the multiplier would be 1x instead of 100x if you actually get the bonus from a normal spin. So cmonman would have got 24.42x in the leaderboard.
Trying to slip into the leaderboard for the multiplier race with bonus buy is not a good option. Some base spin without the bonus round would take you over 100x . I got 177x around 2 weeks ago in MT2 base spin without any scatters at all, just wilds and some premium symbols
