You are generalizing too much, the term altcoin refers to any coin which is not bitcoin and while there is no doubt that there are coins out there producing great profits this is not true for all altcoins, I am pretty sure that just as we are seeing many altcoins producing significant profits at the same time this means nothing, right now those are paper profits and it isn't until the moment you sell and you realize those profits in which you can begin to celebrate, because just as those coins are going up in value they could go down in value as well just as quickly, and it is possible that an investment that seemed like it could produce profits can become very rapidly a losing investment.
