When I was a student I used to work in a casino, so I joined the world from the inside. Then when I started to have money I could afford to go to casino and play. Now I play mostly poker. When I actively played on pokerstars for the purpose of earning money I read a lot of books on poker, watched videos about the game and of course watched and continue to follow the world's largest poker championships.
What could be your age at that time? looks like you've been introduced to gambling at the very young age. It's a good thing that you didn't get addicted to it and gives bad effect to your studies.
Perhaps it's because I worked at the casino I was not addicted to gambling. In our country these were not easy times and there were many people who got their wealth very easily and not always legally. Naturally, they treated them just as easily. They could lose in the casino amounts equivalent to the cost of several houses in my city. It was the observation that gave me the gambling vaccination.
