I think it can still happen, but now is a turning point if we consider the past. Bitcoin is a bit down already, and it can go for stabilization somewhere around $15k-$16k; it might go up again after this correction and reach $20k even before the end of 2020; it might go down and down, like it did the previous time back in 2018. I think the last option is most likely because the price went up too fast and surely many people are still willing to cash out. If some news hits the media (something negative, like it was with South Korean exchanges and regulation issues in 2018), it can easily trigger panic selling. And after panic selling, we might have another few years without the price above $15k.
