This year is bitcoin's year back and altcoins will do the same thing next year. I also hold some altcoins, most of which aren't in the top but I also believe they will bring a lot of surprise in 2021.
It is always Bitcoin's year in my eyes;) Whether it is for selling like now (unless you are me and hodl forever) or like in 2018 and 2019,,, it is Bitcoin's year for consolidating and buying!
And naturally, altcoins benefit only when BTC is up, but when BTC is in buying phase, most alts die;)
It's just a disgusting scenario as I seen most of my alts asset were really turning down low, and as btc pumped higher alts also tend to go down badly. You're partly right that's it's dying and I don't know when it would be risen from it's long time of being asleep. Hopefully, it would remarkably be doing good this coming 2021 and so on.
