Although, because of the super-high fees, I've put this off for now too, and am trying to figure out the best way forward. Are the fees likely to go down at any point? Is it even possible to know this?
If you have many different inputs (and thus a large transaction size), you may want to read about
consolidating small inputs.
You can just set a low fee in Electrum (enable manual editing in the settings), but in that case you'll have to wait until the transaction is confirmed before touching your Forkcoins. See
Johoe's Bitcoin Stats for the current best fees, but if you're not in a rush, you can go lower than this (and wait as long as it takes).
