I think somebody encouraged a bunch of newbish accounts to vote for them and they copy/pasted other responses to fill categories they didn't know or care about. Hopefully one of the ones that doesn't qualify is the account that nominated me for Miss Bitcointalk.
I noticed that certain user is meriting everyone who votes for him, no matter the rank, so it might be that some lower rank members noticed that and started showing up. Easy merit for 1 minute work 
Also, I hope you only start tallying the counts after nominations have closed because I changed a few of my answers and likely others did as well.
I think that @icopress mentioned somewhere that we are free to change the votes as we like until the deadline so I guess counting starts after that. Speaking of that, tt wasn't easy at all to narrow it down in some categories (for me hardest was scambusting&spambusting and Discovery of the Year) so I am still reconsidering some voted. Then again, I tend to overthink everything :p.
