May be he can just go on holding litecoin. It's not that bad coin considering the current market loop of Hi-Lo. Litecoin has shown tremednous growth amid the current year's tragedies. It has already surpassed this year's ATH which was about 70 bucks per LTC. It has resisted pretty smoothly after the BTC surge on higher grounds. Make no mistake litecoin is another choice when it comes to the faster transactions and lesser fees.

"Consolidating" it with bitcoin won't be that greatful at the current rate. BTC is time bomb right now, if exploded it can go down crazy. Better keep it in LTC, and anway it's ATH since it's development is 200+ bucks per LTC. If any project has made it to that value in earlier days then there is high chance history will repeat itself eventually.
