I last held almost 12 bitcoins in 2017, and in that very moment I actually spent them. not left till now. wrong strategy i did. probably obsessed with the first halving. that's an experience that I can't forget.
because before 2017, right 2015 and 2016 I spent two years collecting and miracles really came to my life.
Damn, that's a huge amount of bitcoins. I hope you still have a portion of it left.
That's an interesting poll, I'll try to remember to revisit it to see the results when more people vote (it's only 2 votes when I'm writing this).
I am excited about the results too but I am sure that the number of people who bought bitcoin will outweigh the other ones.
I just want to see how many have not bought bitcoins though
I'm like you, I've never bought BTC, but I have it. A friend of mine managed to accumulate even more this way and hodles about 1 BTC. As per your assumption, he joined the forum and got acquainted with cryptos earlier than I did.
I'd like to add, however, that I don't have any specific amount that I always live in BTC. I just sell when I need to and hodl when I don't, and on average I tend to have about $1k in BTC, and it's been like that for years regardless of BTC price.
That's what I do too. There's no point of holding bitcoin if we can't use it when we are in need of it. Same as you, I just use it whenever I want and hold it the rest of the time.
Definitely not everyone succeeds in the first few tries. If you've failed so far, go try again because the longer you wait, the harder it gets to reach one whole bitcoin as the price rises long-term.
I am now trying to find multiple ways to accumulate bitcoin. Trading is a difficult task for me and I wouldn't like losing my precious bitcoins in an attempt to gain more.
