I have sold my XMR a long time ago and invested in Ethereum instead. No doubt that was the best decision ever. Monero and a lot other Altcoins has it's best year in 2017 and it's not unthinkable for any coin break it's ATH again.
it seems that what mate are doing is the best and very correct way, because it seems that it will be difficult for XMR to be able to make a new ATH to match 2017, even though the price of bitcoin was the same when 2017 and XMR was still below $ 200 until now. is it possible to make a new ATH? it seems like it's in the past and it can't be done again.
you are right with moving quickly to replace XMR to ethereum which is likely to be more reliable.
