It's not about user experience, it's about what you grew with.
Most of people use dollars, euros and other fiat currencies without knowing squat about their fundaments. They simply grew using it.
It is not that they use it because they grow with that but because they are forced to do so.
I can see a lot of old people now using credit cards in markets and stores for their purchases (especially now with the covid situation and the contactless payments).
They didn't grow using credit cards - they are just forced to do so... and their behavior changed to that direction
Credit cards are mere representations of fiat money. But, yes, people adapt and adapt under severe circumstances; people wouldn't be quite keen to "backedless" money before 1928's great depression.
For the most "complicated part" of crypto isn't done by the general public, however. Things like Electrum or BitPay wallets are quite straight forward to use. Back in 2012 or 13 I gave my father a paper wallet with 25 BTC on it, just a few months ago he asked me to help on using it, a short explanation on how to use Electrum and Linux and he's now not only a Bitcoin fan as also a Linux fan.
