Ever since blockchain technology came to the scene, it has been quite disruptive in many industries.
I think this is because of the alluring nature of decentralized currency that’s not tied down to any particular government. However, it has not all been sunshine and roses. Because of the more technical aspects of cryptocurrencies, many people and industries have been slow to adopt them.
Regular people like using simple things. Due to the technical side of many of the digital assets available on the market today, most normal people use fiat cash to avoid complexity.
While the math and mechanics behind cryptocurrencies are complex you do not need to know about it in order to use them, this is something similar to what happens with cars, driving is easy but how car work is very complex but you do not need to know that in order to drive, I hear a lot what you are saying, but how are cryptocurrencies supposed to become easier to use? You just need to look for a wallet, download it, verify that the download is correct, install it, generate a seed, keep a backup in case you lose access to it, get some money in it and send a transaction, the only difference with online banking is the necessity of keeping a backup yourself, how can this be made any simpler?
