It will depend on their stability but both are being good but sometimes whenever coinmarketcap gets into an error, it's my go to place coingecko.
I think that was a day ago there's a bug that's shown by coinmarketcap and usually they get it unexpectedly. We will never know what's with the developers and maintenance behind it but they should start being serious with that matter because it's getting noticed from time to time.
