There are so many other coins who have more value than BTC but price doesn't matter in long term holding. You know why institutional investors are putting their bet only on BTC all about trust and history of survive. In short term any coin can pass the price but hard to survive it demand very liquidity to sustain on high level.
Right. There are coins in the market that have higher value than bitcoin but they are not worth buying for because they have low volume and prices might suddenly dump without an assurance that it will recover again. Unlike bitcoin that has been established already and sure to survive even how many times its market price will dump.
