I think the main hype for "fast" investment in crypto have passed a long time ago (during ico and ieo). Now in defi there's some hype but still it's not the same like 3 years ago.
Basically every hype that occurs in crypto is not the same, be it ICO, IEO or DeFi, because every year the market conditions are always different in terms of demand and supply, so that differences will always occur every year.
That depends on what kind of innovation has been rolling out to the market. I should remind you that if people in crypto were taking the crowdfunding market as a place to speculate and create a bunch of money from there.
People will always try to invest for the short term profit only. In fact, if this is always happening so many times.
The hype is still the same as a few years ago. There's a lot of projects that has got a very big increase instanly.
