Yeah some project are damn too lazy to update their social media account, to me it is among the things to look out for when scouting for a new project to invest on, because if the social media of that project is still active it means the team are keeping in touch and also updating the public, once the social media no active anymore better start to run as fast 
I want to tell you a fact about your contribution sir, real hard working teams will never have all the time for social media updates, they have to update on spare times only, it's just like staying on telegram to answer members questions all the time, it shows they are not working on anything, busy team members won't have time for telegram and other social media accounts updates, that's why most hired group managers that is your opinion and mine still remain same, even if they out source or hire someone to take care of that aspect it won't hurt them to check the progress ones time to time, or haven't you noticed that social media is the center of advertisement, what is the point of working so hard if you keep them behind close doors, and tell me why many people always ask this question "Any recent updates" both in telegram and here in forum? - because it is important you let people know what progress the project have made especially when people have invested in your project.
