Bitcoin is very bullish, it will not need a next year for ETH to achieve $1,000. What if bitcoin will continue to rise to $30,000? I think that would make ETH easy at $1,000, so I believe we should not underestimate the movement of altcoins during the bull run.
now bitcoin is $25k and and is still a long way from $30k whereas a value of $5k will not be possible in just a few days, i agree with the opinion in the post above that if ethereum will not possibly reach $1k by the end of the year we will see ethereum will continue increase in the next year
