apart from the Venezuela case where their government created a new cryptocurrency using banks i have never heard of any other case that they actually created a cryptocurrency. could you name some of them?

i am not surprised that the banks are looking into bitcoin and are trying to copy it, this is not new but so far they have also been aware that creating a centralized copy is not beneficial for them at all. which is why they haven't attempted it yet.
