Pain is our body's way of telling us we need to pay attention and make better choices. Many of us cause our own pain, many of us have pain that is caused by issues beyond our control. But all of us can seek out the best "next steps" in diagnosing our pain and improving on what is happening within our bodies, either directly through the treatment of the initial issue, or indirectly through strengthening other areas of our selves which can lessen the impact the original pain has on us emotionally and physically. In order to be balanced, mind, body and spirit must be in harmony. There are many ways this can be accomplished. And yes, pain definitely reminds us that we are indeed alive...but so does joy and laughter etc.
