Unfortunately, a lot of different scammers launder money through cryptocurrencies and there is nothing to be done about it, since scammers have already gained experience of fraud in other areas before the cryptocurrency sphere, and in the cryptocurrency sphere, it is even easier for them to do dirty business, but you should not pay attention to it because there are various organizations trying to fight with scammers.
Everything has a dark side, if you're bloody blinded by that and refuse to acknowledge Bitcoin due to that, then you might as well refuse to acknowledge the world itself, heck maybe even yourself. When will humans realize that everyone, even themselves, is inherently greedy and you alone are responsible for trying to avoid the greed of others.
Let's not even mention how what you're saying isn't even Cryptocurrency itself, or at least Bitcoin itself. Bitcoin itself would only be used as a tool, to transact, or as a currency itself and that's it. The only reason it is being described as an illegal currency used by scammers is for them to have a reason to actually control it, when again, no one could really do so. Well, some have acknoweldge that, but I think some still don't understand that Bitcoin can never really be caged.
