You say hex is doing nothing new or interesting. It was the first certificate of deposit on the blockchain. There are trillions of dollars in CDs in the real world.
First "certificate of deposit." That's a great series of words for marketing purposes but its ultimately meaningless. Who certified it? JP Morgan?
Also, Hex isn't locking the coins, Ethereum is. Hex is a token that rides on top of the Ethereum network, its not its own "crypto." Certainly nobody uses it as an actual method of payment. The only think you can do with it is stake it and hope some fool pays more than you did when you sell it.
