Let them choose what they think is best because it will only lead to either learn from it or gain from it. There's no mistake of choosing when to invest, the only mistake is if never learn from your mistake and that is if OP sell low because he's already buying it during high. But, who knows if he wants to plan for a long term investment instead of dumping during this bullish season? It's up for him since I think he's aware of what's happening in the market that's why he invested it during high.
