I can't believe I won the bet, the announcers was all in favor of Rodriguez winning the fight and actually I am also convince because although Gaballo is the aggressor but he is not hitting clean shots, but it's been decided and I will not complain as I won my bet, I will consider this as an advance Christmas gift.
It may be a controversial decision but it is what it is lol. An early Christmas gift indeed but unfortunately for me i lost my other bet on the Canelo vs Smith fight. Do we expect a rematch here or Gaballo will fight Donaire next for this belt?
A win is still a win though, congrats on your bet mate, as least you have manage to win on this. I don't think there will be a rematch though, if Raymart has the interim belt then the can defend it, I do hope that he can win his first defense of the belt so that he can set up a big pay check fight with Donaire, if Nonito gets healthy next year.
Just like when Mayweather won against Maydana in their first fight and it was a controversial one, Mayweather give a rematch and beat Maydana clearly in the 2nd fight. I believe Gaballo would give Rodriguez a chance and maybe will tell him not to run like Mayweather so he will win. lol.
However, according to Rodriguez, they will appeal the decision. So let's see how it goes.
They have every reason to appeal, even me, I'm surprised with the decision, the only reason I see why judges gave Gaballo the win is because he is very aggressive though not effectively hitting his opponent.
