I believe the Market has its mechanism to do the trick about the trends but sometimes even the natural market movements can be tricked also, some altcoins are pumped so fast that was created by an artificial demand like what happens now in Defi projects the pump is too fast and it was too risky for sudden dump I'm sure many speculators will suffer.
You can say 90% of alts are artificially pumped because they don't have a natural demand at the time they were launched, for a project to have a real demand it must have developed to a certain stage were its product can actually be use for a certain purpose, even with having a real use case the demand will come gradually, the number of demand will increase with time, for now only few alts have reach that level the rest are just speculative for day traders, both defi and non defi are getting pumped although the hype of defi makes it more intense than ordinary project.
