But the FUD spreaders are saying it is not official in the sense of vote by council. I don't know what the council of the Lakota said or did about it or what role they had.
It isn't FUD, it is the truth.
It has been loudly claimed on this forum that it was an official currency of the tribe.
It isn't. That is the truth.
It does't mean that the coin is designed as a scam, or that it isn't hoped that the tribe might adopt it.
And we do know what the president of the council of the Lakota said about it.
We still don't know what the President of the U S of A has said about Bitcoin either

Indeed, but I'm sure they have reservations about bitcoin because it was wholy unknown (to them at least) before it got the attention it has now. The Government also missed out on buying up "gold" at $3 less each. The rest of the world had tonnes of it especially criminals, but as soon as they seized that 600,000 from silk road they suddenly went 'chill' about bitcoin. I only read senators asking for bans now not seen anything from the whitehouse in some time correct me if I'm wrong.
What are they going to say about a "commodity" that the impoverished native americans pluck out of thin air and sell to investors like me abroad... in effect sucking money into the US for free. True the government is restricted on what nasty things they can bend to their benefit in regards to contracts and agreements, but this is the 21st century and it is a progressive global mission to pull all humans out of poverty... like bitcoin if you listen to anything Andreas says.
Obama is a large supporter of native americans, at least what I've read.
