Is it just that the holidays are near, and people are cashing out? Or, is it something else? Opinions much appreciated.

Ripple has faced a big problem with SEC and this will be a very big battle between ripple against the US SEC. That was also driving the price of ripple to go down so hard. Even bitcoin and ethereum have recoevered from its dump and ripple was still facing another bearish trend. This could be a big dump for ripple that will drive everyone to cash our their money from ripple
