Josh is obviously successful. He has a bunch of little businesses and he owns a nice house in a nice neighborhood. If he really was a scammer, he would not have owned the same place for 10 years.

Edit: I believe he is an entrepreneur, and saw AMT as a quick way to get rich. He may have gotten in over his head but I think he has good intentions.
