Actually that's alarming sign for all altcoins maybe he is feeling unsafe in recent situation but it really hard for any project to survive if the Government take action against it. Every project who have CEO is in danger and could be future victim of SEC.
As far as I know BTC and ETH are the only one who got green light from the SEC. So they are not a security and not falling under the rules from SEC. This has all been assessed on the basis of the Howey Test.
I am not sure if Waves at actual stage would be a security. I am more concerned about the starting discussion about regulation of stablecoins.
