alright cool, saw there are some kind of lite walletsd and wallets where we need to download the full blockchain.
If i want to use an lite wallet can i still claim the rewards for holding?

If I remember correctly, komodo have their native wallet. It was available for Windows. If that still works and is available for your device, go for it. You will also get staking rewards if you hold your kmd there.
