However, it would be better if the criteria for earning merit is to have a post that is of good quality and not merely on a first come first serve basis. If it's based on a good quality post, it's a win-win situation. They get to earn a merit and the forum has quality post in it. Rather than hurrying up to post here and just create a spam.
