maybe they don't want to listen to you because they already know it and you are just exaggerating everything. for example COVID19 is a crisis but it is nowhere near being the biggest one.
besides majority of people want to live in denial as much as they can, it may not be full denial all the time of everything but at least most of the times. otherwise they can't go on living their lives.
