Sporting is vastly superior to all the other teams. They have won every game played so far except for a draw against Famalicao. I really think they will stay on the podium until the end, and as for the first position, I really suppose they will keep that as well.
Well, it looks good but being superior at the start of the season does not guarantee that Sporting will be consistent. Apart from that, Sporting have more time in rest and it is different from the teams below like Benfica and Porto, because they have less rest time because the previous schedule was so tight because they also played in CL and EL competitions.
From 11 matches so far:
Sporting: win 9, draw 2
Benfica: win 9, lose 2
Porto: win 8, draw 1, lose 2
With the results from these 11 games so far, I still believe Sporting will not be too strong to defend their top position.
