I don't know exactly what tools they had employed to create these images, but this one from NVidia https://github.com/NVlabs/stylegan is able to generate photos of high quality. With this tool it is possible to generate photos without any distortions, even a trained eye would have hard times trying to distinguish reality from fakes.

Did some exploration on those websites, they seem to be more of quality than the one that I know of especially the generated.photos. Good thing that we have AI generated image detectors because this could be a stepping stool for a new type of identity theft.
