If the database is corrupted they can just ask us what we had there.. I had 0.2btc and would be happy to get it back.
That's what I've said a couple of times in my argument that this is a scam instead of a hack. The fact that they're not attempting to contact their customers to make them whole is evidence of that--in addition to the fact that nothing about this supposed hack makes much sense, as pointed out by suchmoon and a couple other members.
This is the reason why you should never keep funds on an exchange, and if you didn't know that before, let this be an expensive 0.2
BTC lesson that you learn. I seriously doubt that anybody who had coins on Livecoin is going to get anything back, though I'm hoping for the best.
So basically, the "hacker(s)" blackmail Livecoin owners to deposit an amount into this address? And from where is this message? Can you please explain a bit?

I don't think anybody knows any more than what Livecoin has announced, which is jack shit. If they were at all concerned about their customers, they'd create an alt account here and start communicating. Obviously they're not doing that, which is another reason why I think this is nothing more than an exit scam.
