I think alts keep getting hammered by bad news. Ripple had the SEC, Privacy coins have exchange delistings etc. For now I don't think alts will gain on BTC.
It just a couple of coins though, we still have a bunch of altcoin in the top 10 can can really move in this bull, at least touching their old all time high will be good enough for me.
Bitcoin is still dominating at this point, so the bull run for altcoins might not happen similar to 2017. But in any case it will still be a good year for altcoin, I'm pretty sure everyone is well aware of what altcoins in the top are really good for investing this year.
Bitcoin is still dominating ?? It will always dominate other coins no matter what! It's clear case of high priced market cap of bitcoin that's keeping it ahead of all. This is not going to change ever because bitcoin has already gained that much of the popularity and user base. Moreover, there are big institutional investors who are now backbone of the bitcoin itself.
Have you ever heard that there are institutional investors who are backing any altcoin? Mostly NO, and thats why they are risks and could get delisted anytime.
I believe bitcoin would be dominance all the time.
