Maybe not legal debts, but you did admit to losing around $200,000 to pirate in your ponzi scheme. 

So in your left hand, you have the losses of $200,000 of investor's money, and in the right hand, you have $500,000 donated from people who believed you were a charity.

Why not do the right thing, and make some of your investors whole?
