I am curious about CPU mining, what am I gonna do first. I got confused a little bit, even I watched the video still, I don't get it.

Yes, you need to download wallet if you want to do solo mining, and if you want to do pool mining then you don't need wallet running and synchronized. But, you will need an address for pool mining. If you want to do solo mining then you can use builtin miner of wallet or you can use external CPU miner (links are below). Always use legacy address for solo mining if you're using cpu miner and for pool mining you can use anyone from legacy and SegWit.

Note: SRB miner works only for pool mining while JayDDee's miner works for both, solo and pool.
