it definitely depends on who made that airdrop, just check the sources or google that project, maybe check the team working behind it, and also, you have to make sure you can refer a lot of people, because referring three or four people most of the times won't get you anything.
A new project is no longer consumer-oriented to manage airdrop and if at any stage they are willing to operate there are few tokens assigned. In fact participants get about 1-2$ average. They also operate a small airdrop to appeal to investors so there is no profit for us here.
