SWC rake compared with America's Cardroom. The USD stakes on the far left column are slightly off since they were calibrated at btc price of $20,000.

SwC's wallet needed to be synced back up yesterday which created a several hour window of deposits/withdrawals not being able to be requested. This has since been fixed.

AlexTrebbert, SwC is aware that you and others want the rake adjusted and find ACR's higher % but lower max rake to be more favorable. They are currently working on creating a new rake schedule, which should come out this week.

I have not been saying I "find ACR's higher % but lower max rake to be more favorable."
I have been saying for months that I find ACR's hu rake better.  Lower heads up rake makes it easier to start games. What you need to do is to have limit games of $10/20 and under like ACR be 50 cent USD heads up rake. And hu limit rake should never be over $1 USD so set it accordingly so you don't kill the games again. You are raking over $2 USD in heads up limit games now at $25/$50 and above.

Your lower % makes very little difference in bigger limit games. It's all about the cap.

Also look into the big bet heads up rake.  The ACR max is $1.25 at $5/10, $1 for $2/4 - $4/8, and $.50 bellow that. SWC is currently raking over $3 USD heads up at some of the biggest stakes.

Yes I could complain about other problems in your rake schedule, but I have consistently stuck with pointing out the heads up situation.

When you have the rake too high heads up, you create extreme bum hunting situations.  You make it impossible for regs to battle hu to get a game going because the game becomes unbeatable and the only one winning is SWC.

So SWC is consistently deleting Alex's rake charts and censoring this thread, yet somehow these charts are left up.  Why is that? It appears that SWC is targeting the rake percent and will probably try to sneak another rake increase in and claim that it's actually a rake reduction and proceed to gaslight it's customer base again when people complain. Is this the same SWC we all love? Things really have changed since Glitch left.

Yep. I called it.

Me too. Since efforts to censor have continued, I suggest we instead use the player lounge forum thread.

This rake is absolute nonsense!

Let's compare the Fixed Limit (mixed game) rake of SWC to Stars, shall we?

Stars:

and SWC:

Currently, 100/200 is roughly comparable to $3/$6. So, if you look at 100/200, then not only is the percentage of rake taken higher, the cap is more than DOUBLE. Or, to give it another context - say you're playing 150 hands/hour headsup, you will likely pay over $50 in rake at that table, hourly. There is NO way anyone is gonna start these games, ever. It is even worse at 300/600 (which is what mostly ran lately), where you hit the cap pretty much every time and will pay close to $100.

Another comparison - jackpot tables mostly run at 25/50 and 50/100 - especially now that price has increased. And they are very, very nitty. NLHE is a nit game and most people are just set farming for the jackpot. Which in turn means, you will often see flops, but rarely hit the cap at these limits. What do they do? They lower the cap but obscenely raise the rake percentage. This is a rake increase, pure and simple. There is no two ways about it.

Basically, what SWC has done is looked at the games that run the most, increased the rake there by adjusting the rake percentage to a point where it would most often hit the (very slightly reduced) rake cap.
