I really agree with you I am more interested in holding ETH, than other coins, but I also have a Doge coin which is currently growing on the exchange very much for doge price growth and it's already 76% from the previous price maybe 5%, and I have got a very good advantage to own Doge coins ..
I have always warned the users against two shitcoins - XRP and DOGE. I don't know who is pumping the DOGE prices, but I have no doubt that it will end up just like XRP. If you want to invest in that shitcoin, it is your choice. But don't say that you haven't been warned. The best option is obviously Bitcoin, followed by Ethereum and Cardano. Any other coin should not make up more than 5% of your portfolio.
