Isn't it more profitable to add memory and continue mining? Why can't these ASICs be made with 6 or 8 GB memory for yourself?
Because ram chips are expensive. not many can produce it. so manufacture calculates their own profit and do it in minimal and they afraid of pos stuff happens. and also it is good for business to sell asics again, there will not be very promising making asic that will last 10years, people who got your money they will be back again for more money.
