You could not have been 100% convinced about your portfolio if you were not invested in the long term for a long period of time, the name of the position itself which is 'going long' basically says it all, do you want to profit from your investments? Then you need hold your position for a long amount of time, however that is something that is easy to change, you can always get back in the market, obviously you will do it at an higher price and the risks are higher but if you really want to get in the market then this could be a good moment as the market is moving down.
