Those 10% are 10% from their 0.5%, meaning you get 0.05% out of every bet.

they probably assume that in the long run players play enough and keep gambling. then it is 0.5 5 actually irrelevant because that is then neglected by the big players who bet a lot 0.5% for the house does not mean that they have a 0.5% profit
