I was wary of purchasing the item through Amazon. I made sure that I was using the correct supplier. Even still it was a red flag when the shipment was delayed repeatedly. Then it arrived with the box and cellophane clearly sliced open. It doesn’t look like the device was removed but I’m not taking any chances.
Good choice to return rather than risk losing your funds. Where will you be buying next? Order from the official website. You may be paying more on delivery but you can be assured that it's not tampered.
Edit: Don’t buy from Amazon, it’s stupid and you are stupid if you do it.
I remember reading a case where someone bought a rigged Ledger online. I think it was also from Amazon. What happened was a previous buyer returned the HW and kept a copy of the seed phrase. The store, upon receiving the item, didn't bother to check or maybe he's ignorant too before selling it to another buyer. The new owner, who is most likely a newbie, didn't reset the seed phrase before storing his assets.
