I just find out its rebranding. 
How should I transit from Rads and the wallet to Val?
Do I install and sync the Val wallet and swap out the wallet file?
Or do I just start with Val wallet and it will recognize Rads data folder and start automatically?

You either swap wallet or rename Radium datadir into Validity datadir and it will be automatically picked up by Validity client.
Don't forget to always backup your wallet.dat before any changes
