RBF is enabled in the wallet for this TRX. It is more prudent to use this function. It will be faster.
I still got a transaction with 5 sat/B but it hasn't confirmed yet. I'm waiting now for over 7 days. I think 2 or 3 days is a bit optimistic to be honest. The mempool increased daramatically in the last weeks, because of the new ATH. I can't see those txs get through while we are in this kind of bullrun.
On weekends, the mempul is usually unloaded. However, the rate went sharply down and many in a panic withdraw...
Does the mempool get unloaded every weekend? It didn't feel so last weekend when i first sent out a low fee transaction, and its still stuck until today; its been 6 days. I agree with BTCLiz - the chances of our low fee transactions getting through seems very low at this point.
Another question is - does unconfirmed transactions get dropped from the mempool and amount returned to our wallets after 14 days of staying unconfirmed? or its just a myth?
By default, this time is 336 hours = 14 days (github/bitcoin) for the Core client, and all full nodes and pools use Core
But there are no guarantees. Each node throws out old transactions at its discretion.
Noted. must our wallet stop rebroadcasting the tx for it to be dropped eventually?
