Listing on CMC obviously not guarantee anything, but I think it is one step toward the quality and confidence in the project among users and investors 
Many projects listed on coinmarketcap but then it disappeared because there was no development. Coinmarketcap isn't very important but the listing is necessary, more people know the project will be better.
